Camino Frances this autumn
I lost my US passport between Uterga and Puente la Reina on Tuesday Sept 12 or 13th. The albergue helped me contact the Guardia Civil which then provided me with necessary documentation to continue. Please keep your eyes open and if found turn into the Guardia. They have all my information needed for me to get it back. By the way, the first appointment for passport renewal was November 10th in Barcelona!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Wow, wish you all the luck in the world that someone finds it and you get it back. I have thought about the repercussions of this many times

Since you need an emergency passport, not a renewal you should be able to get one without appointment when you are within five days of travel.

According to the US Embassy website, if you have lost passport you need a face to face appointment. Fortunately I have some wiggle room since my flight back is on the 15th November.

I don't see where it says that you need an appointment.

"If you have reservations to travel in the next five days, do not wait until the day of your flight! Please come directly to the Embassy in Madrid or the Consulate General in Barcelona to apply for an emergency passport during the following hours (except on U.S. or local holidays): Madrid: 8:00 am to 11:00 am, Monday through Friday. Emergency passports will be ready for pick up the next business day after you apply."

Also this page that does talk about appointments says this:

"If you have urgent travel plans and need to replace your passport immediately, you may walk-in to the Embassy in Madrid or the Consulate General in Barcelona during the following hours, except on U.S. or local holidays: For Madrid: 8:00 am to 11:00 am, Monday thru Friday. Emergency passports will be printed in 24 hours and will be ready for pick up the next day between 8:00 am and 11:00 am. For Barcelona: 9:00 am to 13:00, Monday through Friday."

I understand that you are able to make an appointment within your travel time frame, but I don't want to worry others in your position.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-

This makes sense! I can’t fathom losing my passport have having to wait two months in a foreign country, particularly the EU for a emergency replacement.
As most of us know keeping a copy of your passport separate from the original is helpful when going to apply for am emergency replacement overseas.

Someone posted finding a bag with a passport at the Irache fountain- Check on American pilgrims Facebook page
I saw that post on the Camigas page too, but it sounds like @Lrsawdog5 lost theirs earlier on the Camino.

Absolutely not worry others! I have plenty of time and now a trip to Barcelona is on my itinerary. I still would love to see that lost passport but if not it's okay.

I am sure it will be returned to you, unfortunately I can be of no help as I am ahead of you
