My favorite mural on the Norte

Time of past OR future Camino
See signature.
Days 16 - 17
Ribadesella -> La Isla -> Villaviciosa
40 km - 24.8 miles

I usually do this part in one day but I wanted to go to the beach at La Isla and there was a killer place to stay there so I split it up.

On the way to La Isla I passed one of my favorite murals... in Spanish it reads "Todos los caminos son El Camino". This really resonates with me. It basically means "All roads are The Way."

The reason it resonates is because I keep coming back here to Spain because I feel I am at my best in this element. I am kind, funny, friendly, athletic, outgoing, and inspirational here. I love that. But the point of the mural is that I can be that way everyday, anywhere... I don't need to be in Spain walking the camino to do that... everyday should be a journey with my best self. Still trying.

Oh I love this Damien! I can't wait to see this mural myself next year! Thank you so much for sharing! We humans don't have control over anything except how we show up each day. It's a choice. (easier said than done some days!) I hope you are able to carry this "All roads are The Way" with you everywhere you go. Hmmm....perhaps a tattoo is warranted! ;)
