[QUOTE="scruffy1, post: 510058, member: 10031"] I received a PM from a curious friend asking just why the rather nondescript village/town of Neuvy Saint Sepulcher is one of my very favorites. Neuvy Saint Sepulcher is indeed nondescript, a wide spot in the road, where may be found some few plan trees, a bar with dinners, no boulangerie only a pan depot-bread depot, a small pilgrim's gite down the side road from the rather neglected appearing church. That is, until one enters. The church dates from the Crusades, all the usual and unnecessary Templer Templer rumors abound. Standing in the center anyone who ever read some history concerning the evolution of the Holy Sepulchre church here in Jerusalem anyone who ever visited the Holy Sepulchere k-n-o-w-s that the plan of this small out of the way holy place was designed, built and was consecrated by people who had actually been in Jerusalem and who had seen the original so long ago! It is a true porthole peering clearly into the long forgotten past but if you know how and where to look, people like me feel right at home!
