I have recently heard that as the Cathedral in SdC is being renovated that the Pilgrim Mass will not take place there, has anyone heard about this and if so, do you know where the mass for Pilgrim's will be held?
Many thanks

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
It is true. The central nave over the main altar, including the mechanism for the Botafumeiro, is being renovated and reconditioned. Hence, the main altar is out of commission for the time being.

Presently, the daily Pilgrim Mass is being held at the Church of San Francisco (St. Francis). It is located "down the street" from the Cathedral to the north, at the end of Rua de San Francisco.

Also, see this Wiki link:

Others may know the timetable for completing the work. I invite them to contribute here. However, as the Church of San Francisco does not have a pulley system for a Botafumeiro, it cannot be used.

Hope this helps.

In the Church of St Francis. A beautiful church in its own right. Attended a lovely childrens Mass there two years ago.

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
Does anyone know whether these works will be completed by August? I plan to walk in memory of my grandmother who was a devout Catholic and would have loved to have done this pilgrimage herself. Id like to light a candle for her in the cathedral when I arrive at the end of August. Thank touch advance.

Here is a pic from 2016, I love the simplicity of the sketch map and directions "1 km climb up, 5km flat, 5km down". I wonder how the prices are now?
Reposted from Wise Pilgrim comments, was hiking with this pilgrim. Don’t follow app,go just a bit further past to well marked turn, not the one with spray painted arrow on stop sign:
