Planning to start from SJPDP during 1st week April

I'm arriving at Lourdes from London on 30th March, will be staying a few days there then making my way to SJPDP, planning to start from St Jean in the first week of April. Intending to walk the Napolean Way, if its open, otherwise might wait a day or so to see the state of play, or else walk via Val Carlos. I'm fully equipped for a winter sleep out in the open if there is no bed at Orrison - hopefully that will not be the case: I'll be telephoning them the day before to make a reservation if possible. Like many others I am pretty much a solo walker, due to my lazy pace, certainly do not want to get caught up in a mad dash out of St Jean - which is almost like an endurance race! Nope, this time I am taking it easy, no rush, no urgency, hopefully just a relaxed amble from St Jean, up the hill to Orrison. That's the plan. Looking forward to meeting up with anyone at the Albergue in St Jean, in the restaurants, on the trail up to Orrison and beyond ... life is wonderful if you take it as it comes. Ultreia et Susseia!
