Can anyone help me get info on the Camino in Poland from Sandomierz to Krakow? Unfortunately I do not know Polish, only English and Spanish. I hope to go in Sept 2019. Has anyone walked any of the various routes of the Way of St. James in Poland? Looking for ANY information at all! Thanks!

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
Can't help you with info but the route is well marked in Krakow and I wandered past a pilgrim centre/bar when I was there.

The only Forum member I know of who has walked in that area is @lovingkindness so you might want to contact her.

Krakow is an Archdiocese and most likely the church staff has contacts with the local pilgrim association. https://diecezja.pl/
There are maps of routes in Poland here: https://www.researchgate.net/figure...ections-on-1th-February-2014-r_fig1_284188216
I think this is the regional pilgrim association (has a map, Google Translate works) http://www.malopolskadroga.swjakub.pl/

Hello, @Nadia M

Yes, I have followed a few of the drogi Sv Jakuba in Poland but not the one from Sandomierz to Krakow. In 2015 I hiked from Zgorzelec to Olsztyn following camino signs in the opposite direction. I did'nt speak any Polish when setting off. I got by with a few words and phrases written in phonetics. Each day I walked as far as able then set about looking for somewhere to sleep. I wore a scallop shell and carried a credential...People were generous and hospitable. It was a lovely experience.

Afterwards I put together a resource which you can download here: https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/resources/poland-drogi-Św-jakuba-zgorzelec-olsztyn-june-july2015.458/

...and a forum conversation : https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/poland-zgorzelec-olsztyn-2015.38596/#post-382648

In 2017 I crossed into Poland from Lithuania intending to walk as far as Olysztyn. Beforehand I posted a few links on the Forum re hiking and route finding. Scroll down a little to 'Poland' #12: https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/estonia-latvia-lithuania.40980/

Cheers

Anyone walked south from Rome? This looks so interesting and in the south I know that it is less costly.
A couple of weeks ago Wendy and I walked the Via Ellenica in Italy with another couple. We loved it and here's a short recap! Basic Information The Via Ellenica is part of the Cammino Materano...
