qualifying for a compostela

+@^^

Active Member
hello pilgrims

i intend walking the vldp in sept from Seville, but not all the way to Santiago
i will see how far i can get in 4 weeks without turning it into a sporting event
this will mean that i will probably not walk the final 100kays
my question....
to qualify for the compostela, must i:
a - walk the last 100kays to Santiago?
b - walk any 100kays on the route?

ive heard conflicting info

all help appreciated :)

thanks

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Hello

To obtain a Compostela you must walk the LAST 100 kms to Santiago. On the Via de la Plata the starting point for the last 100 kms is Ourense.

I think that completing the 1000 kms from Seville in 4 weeks would be a real challenge. I took 36 days. Others will chip in with their own experience.

Transport links are good from Seville why not visit there and then travel a little further up the route to start?
