Some questions before my first Camino :)

Camino de Nord (2015)
Hey guys!

I'm going on my first Camino in the beginning of April when I have a week off for spring break. I'm only really able to walk for 5 or so days so I'm just going a short route from San Sebastian to Bilbao.

I have a few questions but the biggest one of all is about the credential. I don't have mine yet and I'm wondering if I can pick it up somewhere in San Sebastian, or if I should order it online. Would I have enough time to receive it?

I'm also curious how many people walk in early Spring. Everyone I know who has done Camino goes in the Summer. I'm hoping for a solitary time but meeting some people and making some friends would be nice as well.

I'm pretty set on my route because I've always wanted to explore the Basque country as well as Camino, but do you guys have any recommendations for me? I hope that this is the first of many walks. I'm just getting my feet wet. :) Thanks!

-Nic

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Lots of people walk in the Spring. It is nice and cool (and rainy) and the albergues aren't so full. I haven't walked the via del Norte but I hear walking into Bilbao can be rough. It will be great no matter what though- you're going to love every minute.
I change my plans every day but think I will be starting it from Biarritz in late April.

Order your credential right here from Ivar. I received mine in about a week and a half.

I would say no need to reserve at that time of year.
