Should I pack something to swim in for a Sept Camino? Does anyone ever pack swim clothes?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

I did. It was quite hot at the end of August/beginning of September last year, and I did swim once, and it was wonderful! One of my bras was a back hook sports bra that I used as a bathing suit top, and I brought a pair of bikini bottoms. I had another opportunity to swim towards the end of September, after Sarria in Barbadelo, but it was not warm enough for me to swim in the unheated pool, although others were.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Yes. I dont often swim but I swam at end of October and Finisterre because it was SO hot. Started walking 10 Sept and there were lots of very hot days.

I do. I've swum at the Cuatro Cantones albergue in Belorado and Casa Barbadelo just past Sarria (cold but so good) and I've also paid 15 euros for an hour and a half water spa in Leon and in Astorga at various times. This time I hope to swim in the pool at El Acebo and to try the hot springs at Ourense, on the train line from Santiago to Madrid.
I also wore my bathers, with my microfibre towel as a skirt, once in Santiago Domingo while all my clothes were in the laundromat opposite the albergue, and I'm pretty sure I slept in them on at least one of the hotter nights. For the extra 150 grams, they're a worthwhile addition to my pack.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Quite a few people were swimming at Molinaseca in September.

Please, please, please do not swim off the beach at Praia do Mar de Fora (over the hill behind Finisterre). It is highly dangerous with a fast current from left to right along the beach and then out to sea at the end.
