Camino de Santiago francese 10/04 al 26/04
Hi everyone,

My name is Paolo and I'm doing the Camino de Santiago in April. I'm arriving in Lourdes at h 18 on April 10th 2023 and I'm looking for somebody to share the taxi ride from the airport to SJPDP. Would anyone like to join me? Or would you have some recommendations?

Thank you very much
Paolo

A selection of Camino Jewellery
Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
I would be very surprised if there isn't a bus service.
I would be absolutely astonished if there was. It's not a journey that any local would make for work, shopping or even leisure. You may find a bus to Tarbes or Pau or Oleron, possibly a further bus to Dax or Bayonne. The train via Dax & Bayonne seems the most viable route via public transport. The alternative is lace up your boots and start walking :)

Most of 50 years ago I took a bus once from Bayonne to Lourdes. It was a wonderful experience! The bus stopped every few kilometres and seemed to deliver post, and newspapers and collect chickens and goats and distribute cheese and eggs and cater to the slight needs of its gauloise-smoking passengers. It seemed to take forever, but I would happily do it again. Life was simpler then......

More recently I walked from Lourdes to SJPdP.

I checked on google maps and it is a152k trip.I am no taxi fare expert but I wouldn't be surprised if 200 Euros is considered a bargain.
Yes, especially when the taxi driver will be very unlikely to have a passenger when they return to Lourdes therefore they will factor that into the fare.

See the attached for buses.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
A few years ago, I walked from Lourdes to SJPdP, then continuing on to SdC. The Lourdes to SJPdP walk took about 2 weeks. I think that would be quite a taxi ride. I agree with many of the above posters, find another means of transportation - it's further than you may think.

We are visiting Lourdes before we start the Camino Frances this October. I’ve done a ton of research on how to get from Lourdes to SJPP. Xpress Bourricot said they would charge €310 for a one-way transfer! Needless to say, We are taking the train from Lourdes to Bayonne and Bayonne to SJPP. Much cheaper at around €50 per person although, it takes six hours via train and it is much quicker via car. Do you have more money or time?!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Yes , train to Bayonne and from there the train to SJPdP.🙏

I used the same one way, plane to Lourdes, at noon train to Bayonne and at 5 PM train to SJPP

I had time to visit Lourdes, in Bayonne I have lunch, visit the cathedral and on the train to SJPP 90% they were pilgrims.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
@PaoloM I will be arriving in Lourdes on April 9th and plan to take a train to SJPDP, but since April 9th is Easter Sunday it seems the trains do not run that day, so I will also leave for SJPDP on April 10th. Maybe we will cross paths
