Guest Speaker, Robert Ward, is a writer and traveller with a special interest in pilgrimages.
He is the author of " Virgin Trails " (Key Porter, 2002), and " All the Good Pilgrims " (Thomas Allen, 2007), a lighthearted account of his several walks on the Camino de Santiago. His short stories and essays have been featured in The Globe and Mail, The LA Times, and The Chicago Tribune.
He studied at the University of Toronto (BA in English Literature, Religious Studies, Italian) and the University of Western Ontario (MA, English Literature) and taught English for several years in Japan. Robert Ward lives in Toronto, with his wife, Michiko. His upcoming projects include essays on literary pilgrimages, and a walk along Italy's Via Francigena, the medieval road from northern
Europe to Rome.

Our other Guest Speaker, Paul Moylan, has worked 25 years in high tech sales and business development. He has twice embarked on the 21st century pilgrimage of walking the Camino. He discovered the natural beauty of northern Spain, combined with its extraordinary art, stunning architecture, and history. Moreover, it brought the possibility of something greater; a connection with history, and as a pilgrimage, a spiritual experience.

Paul has developed workshops on the subject of the Spanish pilgrimage, including an introduction to the Camino, a walk planning course, and the inner experience of transformation.
He has delivered these workshops to 2,000+ participants for over the last eight years. He has also published two Camino related books: the first, Camino de Santiago: Fingerprints of God, book describes experiences that were deeply personal, emotionally and spiritually uplifting.
The second is the Camino Planning Guide answering all the questions asked by both novice and experienced pilgrims.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Hi:
I was wondering if there would be another meeting coming up. As well, is there any information to share from MEC regarding equipment. I am preparing to go in August and was wondering if there were any last minute tips.
Thanks.

The Toronto group normally meets twice a year, as it is a fairly big production with several speakers, a resource fair and about 200 in attendance. People tell me that Seven of MEC (no-- not a Borg) is helpful and has done the Camino himself. The Toronto group can be contacted through torontocamino@rogers.com and perhaps one of Pat's team might be available to chat.
