Greetings,

To avoid airport issues, we wonder if any SJPdP stores will have trekking poles available. We have a tight schedule at CDG to TGV, so there is no time to get them in Paris. There are a couple of stores in Bordeaux but might also be a tight timeline.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Lots, though we chose to buy ours at a store close to the Pilgrims Office I am sure there are way more. We bought the cheapest pair and they were great throughout the whole trip.

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).

Now we just need a list of the albergues where they are dropping them off.

I (we) are in SJPdP right now. There are several stores here selling all kinds of trekking stuff - including walking poles. Here in SJPdP you see a very commercial side of the Camino. Small businesses selling stuff to "will be" Pilgrims - just trying to make a living. Having said that, SJPdP is a beautiful town full of romance, history and pilgrim stuff.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Watch for one of pilgrims completing a French route. I plan on 'finishing' in Pamplona and would love to donate my sticks so they can continue to Santiago.

You may wish to check at the Pilgrim’s Office Before looking at the stores. My husband and I completed the Via Podiensis (from Le Puy to SJPP) last summer and left our poles, with permission, at the Pilgrim’s office, in hopes someone starting out at SJPP could use them. They are very grateful to receive them. We bought our walking poles in Paris on our way to Le Puy (did not want to try to bring our poles from Canada). Enjoy your path!

Yes... on my first trip I went online and pre-ordered my walking poles at the store in St. Jean. When I arrived I picked them up. On my second walk I actually purchased new poles that collapsed into about 12 inches and then fit into a bag. Each pole has their own bag. I had not problems going through custom on my trip with the poles inside of my backpack.
Good Luck.... I'm going a third time in 2024! Can't wait and I'll be 86 years old!!!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
