The challenge will be finding out whether the private places are open. I don’t think you will find much difference between the stages before Girona and those after, in terms of accommodation and price. It’s a gorgeous route, not really a pilgrimage route, but one constructed by the Generalitat to take pilgrims to the touristic high points like Girona and Vic. I enjoyed every minute, because the romanesque is everywhere and the scenery absolutely gorgeous.
