Camino portugues coastal
We walk this part today.
When you follow the river side past the yellow big letters: Esposende
You can take the trail through parque litoral Northe. It is marked with blue arrows. The first part in paved until the coast parking of the little village Mar. At the coast parking you must turn right and follow the blue arrows winding on farm roads with little traffic over a new bridge on the river Neiva.
You will also see some red and yellow marks.
Until the town Castelo do Neiva the trail is marked. Between Castelo do Neiva and Amorosa we lost the trail and end up on a dune normaly you can walk from the dune on the beach to Amorosa but their were constructings on the beach, so we found are way over a small trail to Amorosa.
We didn t see any markers. At the end of Amorosa their is a 200 m boardwalk and the you can walk on the hard sand on the beach for 5 km until the beach of Cabedelo.
Behind the beach you can the ferry (5min) to Viana Do Castello or do the walk over the bridge.
The ferry is every hour and cost 1.50 euro.
With the ferry our walk was 25 km.

We liked the walk. Less traveled. Not to much cobblestones. Between Esposende and Castelo do neiva no option to buy water or food.
