Which section of Tuscany Via Francigena to choose?

My husband and I are presently in Italy and will be in Florence soon. We would like to walk one day section of the Tuscany Via Francigena. Some thoughts were: San Miniato - Gambasse Terme? San Gimignano- Monteriggioni? Monterriggioni - Sienna? Are there any suggestions or thoughts on challenges of any of those? While we have walked two Caminos in Spain and have been doing shorter hikes here in Italy we are not in ‘ Camino shape ‘. Any info kindly appreciated.

Montereggiano to siena Is about 20k so not too arduous...monteregg is impressive and Siena is a must see city...

While Siena is a must see city, you might not want to be spending a part of the walk going through it's suburbs.

San Miniato to Gambasse has the advantage of the Terme at the end (if you have time/if it is open).

San Gimignano to Monterriggioni has the advantage of pretty locations at the start and the finish with a nice flat bit in the middle.

Your decision should also be guided by how you get to/get back from the start of your walk. Spending a couple of hours waiting for the local buses there is not much fun, though the views are great.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! In searching transportation I see the issues. I think that will probably be a deciding factor.

In terms of beauty then San Miniato Alto to Gambassi Terme is probably best.

perhaps gambassi terme through san gimignano to colle di val'elsa? I assume there are busses to gambassi terme and colle di val d'elsa also should have good bus connections.
