Your Favourite Towns/Cities to Stay Additional Night/s

Time of past OR future Camino
CF September 2022
CF April 2024
Hello everyone, I am getting really excited to begin my CF; departing SJPDP on 21 September. My friend and I have allowed additional days for injury/weather, or just wanting to have a rest day to explore along the way, as well as three additional nights in SdC. My question is this... what towns or cities did you really enjoy and either did stay an additional night, or in hindsight wish you had. I realise what we value as individuals is different, but, would still appreciate your thoughts. Looking forward to hearing your responses.

León was my favorite city. My husband and I completed the Camino Frances today (SJPDP to SdC). The cathedral, casa Botines, San Ysidro church and Convent (now Parador León). Beautiful city!!

We liked Leon and Pamplona for rest days. Didn’t need the one we had in Logrono.

I liked Leon, I thought it was a really pleasant city to spend some time.

I wish I'd had more time in Ponferada and Astorga. Both looked very interesting places.
