First Kms from SJPDP; Only 797 Kms to go!

I turned around and snapped this picture after approx 3 Kms from leaving SJPDP (at a distance). You can even see pilgrims coming up. While the climb continued, so did the awe at the gorgeous French countryside.

You would think that this gorgeous countryside is the peak as far as beautiful scenery along the French Way...and you would be wrong. The beauty that was to come next along the Camino de Santiago left me breathless countless times. What an amazing experience.

I had the same weather the 25th May 2010. Wonderful l views. So tired at the end of that first day. A load of people had bused to Roncevalles and taken all the bottom bunks. I didn't have the strength to get on a top one so got a hotel room. Lots of memories.
