There's a sign on top that shows different routes, to left is longer and around and there are photo on sign showing difficulty of ravine. I have a photo of sign, but can't figure out how to post here, only on Media and then draw down.
 
I know I took one of the road options back in 2015, in fact looking at this map it think I ended up on the road not highlighted because that approach (riding in from the right) is where I saw the two fake female pilgrims. (I have expressed views on these two previously so will leave it at this). Despite suggestions to the contrary I am a somewhat more cautious rider - I no longer bounce like I did when I was 50 years younger!! Cheers
