Move Over Bilbao!! Botin Arts Center!!

A selection of Camino Jewellery
This has to be one of the ugliest buildings we have seen and it totally spoils the view of Santander from the ferry. That and the new blue coloured concrete in what was once a pretty park. Neither are really in keeping with their surroundings
We were there in May and June this year and were not impressed with it from outside. Hopefully the art inside is better.

This was the view with the new centre :-

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Art and architecture, like beauty, is very much in the eye of the beholder...

And I was looking for another excuse to go back to my family's roots.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!

"The local people don’t like it," says the woman working in the Santander tourist office.
In this case I quite agree with the locals! Not only does the building spoil the sweep of the old harbour frontage, the "blue concrete paths" through the gardens are an eyesore and terribly hot in the sun. The idea of putting the road in a short tunnel was good, but why then put in concrete over what could have been attractive gardens?

Not beautiful in the eyes of this beholder!
