Pension Mosende Porriño

Met my Camino Angel in the host of pension Mosende. This pension is off the path before Porriño but the host will pick you up from the path and drop you back there, or take you into Porriño even.
I was crippled by excruciating heel pain and Manuel jr. bent over backwards to help me out. Since I could not get outside he dug up an old microwave and a glass so I could heat up water for a cuppa tea and coffee ( both of which I carry with me).
He messaged me later at night to check if in was ok or needed anything else and dropped me at the train station the next day.
The pension offers an affordable room and comfortable bed, what it may lack in amenities or convenience is made up for by the immeasurable kindness of the host.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I agree! I found myself in O Porrino last year where my bag was to be delivered to a recommended pension. TuiTrans called to say the place seemed to be closed- they would leave my stuff at a nearby cafe. Well there’s not a lot of choice of accommodation in O Porrino so I thought I’d go to the pension just in case they had reopened. Asked a local lady in the street where it was and she told me -but said she thought it was closed. It was! Felt a bit tearful on my own not quite knowing what to do when she turned up again and said her husband knew the owners and would find out what was happening. Several calls later it transpired there had been a death in the family.

At this point the lady said her husband had a pension outside the town if I needed a bed and he would pick me up which he did. Met a lovely couple from Australia who were booked there too and he dropped us off back in the town the next day.

Sometimes lovely things happen when you least expect it. Walked a lot with the lovely Australians after that and will never forget how sometimes the clouds DO actually have silver linings!
