Shalom Good Friends, Greetings from Jerusalem!

I am very excited, so uncharacteristically so. Another fortmight before we set out, the wife and I, we should be in Vezelay May 10 + - . Usually I never feel this way, busy with the maps and guidebooks, checking the backpack, new insoles etc no real emotion u-n-t-i-l the night before when I cannot sleep. This time the wife will be joining me! Sort of. She is not a walker but rather a college professor who considers the walk from the far side of the parking lot to the library a serious trek.We will retrace part my Vezelay pilgrimage back in 2014 - Asquins-Saint-Père-Vezelay-Clamcey-La Charite-Nevers-on until a special favorite Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre. H-o-w-e-v-e-r, since she is not a walker we will be doing this in an automobile - sigh - I will be the chauffer - sigh again. So should you see us along the chemin do stop us to say "Hello Scruffy!", I'm the one with the shell on theAustralian bush style hat, she will be wearing a straw hat.
