Approaching Hontanas
If you ever go back again, you will see a lot of changes since 2008. The last time I was there, there was a new Restaurant/Bar at the entrance of town that would fry a egg for you. The bathrooms were very clean and there was a nice garden area to enjoy especially when the weather was nice. I hope to get back there again.

Buen Camino

Hola @Dennis D Hontanas is one village that survives because of the Camino and Pilgrims. As I understand a local man who had moved away to a larger town/city then walked the Camino Frances and saw how his village could benefit. The rest as they say is history. Hopefully I will see it again. Cheers

Hey Mike,

I share you sentiments. Even though the birthday candles on my cake cause my guests to wear sunglasses, I still hope to go back one more time. (At least) Right now I am in France. I made the mistake of taking a connecting flight through the UK. The paperwork and the last minute requirement of a Covid test was a nightmare. As we say every year, hopefully next year will be better. If it is, I'll give it one more shot. I'm taking the attitude that turning 80 is the new middle age.
