Leaving Puente la Reina

Puenta la Reina represents one of my three favorite villages on the Camino Frances. It was here, in this charming town, where our Camino family cemented a friendship that took us into Santiago de Compostela 25 days later. Torres del Rio and Hontanas being the other two gems along The Way of Saint James. Fond memories make me want to catch the next flight back to Spain!

Lovely photo! It was getting dark and I was staying in Maneru for the night so I couldn't spend much time in Puente during my 2018 Camino. However, I had a lovely afternoon hanging out there the following year when I was visiting Spain with my kid. I will stay overnight there for my next Camino.
