My name is Chris, I'm 29 and from just outside Dublin, Ireland. I'll be leaving SJPDP on 1st July and doing the Camino solo. Anybody else in the same boat on the same date?

I am sure there will be lots of friendly folk starting out from SJPP on the same day as you. When i did my first ever camino i met lots of people that first day out that i subsequently got to know well.
In the meantime, feel free to pop into the Camino Society of Ireland information centre, it's open Thurs /Fri /Sat from 10:30 to 15:30 in St James Church in Dublin 8. It is staffed by volunteers only delighted to talk all things camino. You can get a pilgrim passport, guide books etc there too.

Hi Chris. Have walked Del Norte and the Portuguese twice. My suggestion would be to stay in the Albergues or Hostels and the comraderie will take care of itself. Have a great Camino from a fellow Irishman
