Romeria to the Cruz de Ferro. 31st July.

This article caught my eye this morning. The return of an annual romeria - local pilgrimage - by Galicians to the Cruz de Ferro on July 31st. This event has been suspended for two years because of Covid. One of a number of stories I have seen recently noting the return of romerias in various parts of Spain. A significant part of Spanish religious culture that has no real equivalent in my own homeland in the UK. I read the article using Google Translate and was pleased to see that one of the attractions of the day is to be "pregnant buns"

Seems like so many of this type of specialty dish have colorful names. I guess "pregnant buns" are a good name for buns contiaining a piece of chorizo. Not to my taste, but I'm sure many will enjoy them. Glad to see the romerias are back.
