Can any of you pinpoint where this photo was taken, my memory and notes are vague. I think it's after Castrojerez on looking towards Hornillos del Camino.
TIA.

This is the downhill road into Hornillos. That town in the distance is Hornillos del Camino... I have several photos from my Caminos from this spot.

Rather, before Castrojerez.
But yes, looking towards Hornillos from the top of 'Mule Killer Hill.'
Another pic, a similar time of year, on a day with rain coming:

In fact, I think it's right about here:
Thank you Greg, that is it exactly.

Thank you VN, spot on, way before Castrojerez.

Well, it depends which way you are walking as to whether it's before or after Castrojeriz, but if you are walking towards Santiago, i.e. east to west, it's definitely after Castrojeriz. I , too, have an almost identical photo taken from the top of that hill.

If you follow Greg's link above on Google maps it's before castrojerez.

Sorry!! !,000 apologies. I was getting my hills mixed up. The Mulekiller Hill (Cuesta (de) Matamulas [34,400 results] or Matamulos [1,560 results]) is after Rabé de las Calzadas and the village in the distance is Hornillos del Camino. It's about 24 km before Castrojeriz. The hill I thought it was is the Alto de Mostelares, which is after Castrojeriz and the villages in the distance you can see from there are Itero del Castillo and Itero de la Vega. But it's definitely Castrojeriz (477,000 results), not Castrojerez (2,030 results).

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
