Too many and too often!
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Interesting! It appears the French are now (at least in May, their favorite month) walking in Spain. When I was walking the Le Puy (2010-2011), all the French stopped at SJPP. And merciful heavens, the huge numbers of South Koreans! Was there some instigating event for them, like Hapa Kerkling's book for the Germans, or Martin Sheen's film for the Americans?

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

I am wondering also... I found that:
"Writer Namhee Kim's bestsellers and television reality shows, such as the one involving K-pop group G.O.D., are the source of Koreans' enthusiasm for the Way."

Probably good for trends but not for actual total numbers.
I agree. The numbers do seem to be consistent with the increase in arrivals in Santiago and departures reported from SJPDP. The relatively small number of Spanish pilgrims was a little surprising given their prominence in the annual overall statistics from Santiago. It does seem that foreigners are more likely to walk longer distances on Caminos.
