HI, I didn't stay in either of these when walking the Le Puy Way so I can't give any personal recommendations ... Perhaps someone will come along who can. In the meantime:

1. For Les Faux, have you looked at Gronze which lists all accommodation on the route - the listing shows two gites in Les Faux together with contact details.

2. For Lajo (is it a few kms off route?) - I would just google 'gites Lajo France'

Bon chemin.

Les Faux is 1km off the trail, but you could stay in the Gîte d'étape-hôtel L'Oustal de Parent https://www.oustaldeparent.com. I don't recall Lajo being on the trail, but but I found the La Bergerie de Compostelle listed here : https://chemindecompostelle.com/. I tried to link to their website but was unable to do so so maybe the link needs updating. Also in Saint-Auban sur/Limagnole there is no shortage of places to stay and in Le Rouget there is the Gîte et chambres d'hôtes à la Ferme La Croix du Plô, which is along the GR 65.

also at Lajo is the excellent and well-regarded «les Bouleaux Nains» ... is off-piste around 2.0km but the host Rachel Soulier will collect hikers from the chapelle Saint-Roch.

I stayed at gîte les Bouleaux Nains in Lajo, it was the gîte with the most people when I was there with almost 20 around the big table at night, very lively - other places in the area were booked out. There was no wifi there (when I needed it) in late April. It's quite off the trail.

although it us off the trail, the host Rachel is very happy to collect hikers from the «Chapelle Saint-Roch» and so save those extra kms

And in the morning we walked from Lajo directly about 3.5 km back to the Via Podiensis. You reach the Via about 3.8 km after Chapelle Saint-Roch.

Hi, Can anybody recommend a Gite in Gramat? There seem to be a good number of places to stay, but I would like something near the GR if that's possible. A place oriented toward walkers would be...
