Food to bring to Spanish friend from US

I went into a'gas station’ in Miami this morning (I called it a ‘garage’ to a chap yesterday and got a quizzical look!) and there must have been three aisles of sweet stuff alone.
Yep, we normally say gas station, and they often have the rows and rows of what we call "junk food" (usually overpriced) when you step in to pay for your gas (petrol to you) or use the bathroom. I avoid being tempted, but some of the newer coffee areas have amazing choices. "Garages" are places where you get an oil change, have a tire fixed, engine problems fixed, etc. on your vehicle. They do not sell rows of junk good/sweets.
Recently, TMan, you mentioned being in California and now Miami...you really get around!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Thanks… yes I am reasonably good at American English! I remember to say trash, bathroom, liquor store, etc!!! I know chips are crisps, football is played with your hands and I avoid the 24 hr clock, centigrade, but I had forgot about garage!

As the cost of food / drink is so pricey in USA now, and have had no access to cooking facilities here for the last month (California/Miami) have been checking out a lot of the low end places to get snacks. In the past as a very regular visitor would just use restaurants as was always affordable! There is certainly a lot of choice. It can be overwhelming to many of us Europeans I would think.! Hence I think it great that folks beings stuff over to us!!
