All packed

..all packed and still 24 hours before I start my journey...train to Gatwick,flight to Bilbao, bus to Pamplona the taxi with others to SPDPfor night of 23rd...so what can I do now??

Not really the little red bag folds up to a belly bag and has the stuff I can't or don't want to check in, my pack , 9kg, is inside the big bag and will be jettisoned in Pamplona ....or maybe rolled up and carried for the trip home. My last long distant walk was the E4 in Crete in 2014 and my pack the was 32kg.

You had me wondering too! 9kg is still pretty significant, but if you’re comfortable with it, that’s all that really matters.
You could of course spend the evening jettisoning 2kg, and swapping the boots for trail runners…

Or just enjoy a good meal, a nice glass of wine, and put your feet up!

After due consideration of my packing list, my aversion to cold and discomfort I think I'll opt for your second option...good food...nice wine...and an early night.

Well we're two days in and it's been a challenge...the rain,cloud and snow has made it special...but the incredible people I've met have made it unforgettable.. buen Camino

Well a couple of weeks done and am now in Sahagun, so over half way. Have been forced into booking ahead which is a shame as it is very limiting. Still have met some great people and seen some wonderful sightsView attachment 170031

Yes certainly enjoying the experience and the occasional solo room with bathroom is very pleasant and a chance to get away from the snoring and door banging. Managed to get my "halfway certificate" today and visit that stunning building. I've been setting off at about 0530 to get as much in before the sun heats up so have lots, maybe to many, sun rise pics. Also if it's a morning of tarmac tramping doing it in the dark isn't so boring.
