Hi, new here, planning to walk the CF in Sept 2014

Been thinking about walking the Camino for nearly 30 years ever since we heard about in church. Finally a gap has opened in our lives so we are intending to seize the opportunity and get off our bums and go. I have been lurking on the forum getting hints and tips since Christmas. In the corner of my bedroom is my camino heap, I keep weighing it and adding and taking away stuff as I get ideas from you guys. My husband has a virtual heap on a spreadsheet on his laptop, with everything individually weighed. I'm very excited, but apprehensive about being away from my life for so long, can hardly bear to think about leaving the Grandchildren for 5-6 weeks. All the things we need to do other than the packing, the losing the 2 stone in weight, leaning to speak Spanish, getting fit, make me realise that the pilgrimage has already started.
