Plan to walk the Camino in 2014
I am flying out to Madrid on the 27th of Sept. Maybe spend couple days there and then take train/bus to Astorga. I think I can meet a lot of people there if you've already started your walk from Saint Jean. I will be wearing a Canadian company of pilgrims badge. Getting really excited now. Finger crossed that the weather won't be too bad :)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

March 2015
My wife and I are from North Vancouver and we have a similar itinerary set for March 2015: Vancouver to Madrid then a train to Leon.
We're excited already so I can't imagine your emotions right now.
Buen Camino!

Hi!!! I'm from Venezuela
I did Astorga-santiago in
July 2014!!
Beautiful experience!! Love it!! astorga its a beautiful place!!
Can you do me a favor?
When entering Rabanal del
comino is a bar to the left can you go in there and see if my Venezuela Cap is still hanging in the wall? Its a yellow, blue and red with 8 starts on it?
I leave it there as a gift !!

Pur a lot of vaseline in your feet and use two socks! One nylon women pant type after the vaseline and other of cool max or dry fit!! repeat the vaseline after 2 hour of walkimg!! I did that and reach Santiago Blister free!!! Not Even red spot!!
I usually walk 20-25 km a day.
Just one day walk 8 km herreria to Ocebreiro!!! And was a good choice!! Magical sunset in ocebreiro and a expectacular sunrise with the clouds so close to you!!
I came back about 4 weeks and heart is still there!! Keep thinking in my camino almost every day!!
Want to repeat!! Maybe from far away like roncesvalle or pamplona!!
Who knows!!! Wish I could do it again some day!!
Buen camino!! Enjoy it every minutes take a lot of picture!! Talk to everyone!!
Have a great Camino experience!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Thank you for posting...I am finding that I get to relive the excitement of anticipating my camino by hearing about others preparing for theirs. Last spring as I planned my first camino and perused this forum for advice, I remember thinking, "I wonder why all these people who've done caminos stick around this forum?" Now I know that for myself, at any rate, it helps keep the experience close...
