Hi there! I am currently on the Camino del Norte route, travelling to Luarca tomorrow. Was wondering, as I completed the Camino Primitivo last year, would it be a better option to walk until Ribadeo then bus to A Coruna or el Ferrol and finish on the Camino Ingles. Just wondering.
Thanking you for your suggestions in anticipation.
Margaret

My vote is for finishing the Norte, Margaret. Lots to like still in front of you there, with highlights like Mondoñedo and Sobrado dos Monxes. The overlap with the Francés is even shorter than the Primitivo's. The Inglés is a nice walk, but I wouldn't consider it demonstrably "better" than this part of the Norte.

You can walk from Ribadeo to the Inglés following the Ruta do Mar (see that area of the forum for more info about it).

If you are interested in a Compostela, be aware that A Coruña is less than 100 kms away from Santiago de Compostela.

Hi Dave, how are you? I'm in Luarca tonight and finding it very interesting and keep thinking about the uphill hike in the morning
Thank you for your speedy reply, you've talked me into it! Yes, now I think of it, it would be a shame to have the Norte incomplete, I'd probably want to return and do the bit I didn't do. Thank you once again
