Does anyone have information regarding how many pilgrims are currently on the Ingles? I am ready to bail on the CF in a few days to avoid the crowd.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

If you change routes can you still get credentials in santiago saying you completed Camino?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Did you reroute to the Ingles?

@JeffCrawley posted that he saw very few pilgrims. Even at this time of year, I would expect the Ingles to be quiet. The only issue is that the albergues are small (sometimes 10 beds only) and there are not many alternatives if they are full.

If the Frances is too busy, my experience of the Ingles is that the quietness gives you that genuine pilgrimage experience. I walked it in Holy Week, which for the Spanish is one of the busiest weeks for the Ingles, and saw no more than 6 or 7 people on a day (and only one non-Spaniard the whole journey)
