Interesting article Falcon. I am sure Reb would love to read this bit about the Meseta:
"In the sparsely populated Castilla y Leon region, I dreaded crossing the vast Meseta, feared for its monotonous plains and lack of food and water. Strangely, this section of the camino was an unexpected highlight, with endless vistas of grain stubble, drying maize plants that rattled in the wind, sunflowers that hung their seed-laden heads, and bleached soils."
