Time of past OR future Camino
walking every day for the rest of my life
The day after I joined and someone helpfully posted a distance calculator, all the posts were lost. Including that one. A google search has left me none the wiser....could anyone point me in the right direction again?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Although folk say you do not need a guide on the Camino IMO one would be useful for lists of accomodation/albergues etc and also for the breakdown of distances. You can study it and then leave it at home or carry it in a map case for reference while walking. On the Inglés and Primitivo we chose to have ours to hand.
We use the CSJ guides and you can search CSJ's bookshop at these 2 links and don't have to be a member to buy the guide. We find them accurate and the online updates are useful too.

You would need to check postage rates outside of the UK

A guide is my Dumbo's feather. Even though I have walked the Camino Frances repeatedly, I always take a guide. There is something comforting in knowing that there is a place to stop in 3km or 10km. The yellow arrows make it hard to get lost, but not getting lost is only one part of a successful walk!

The choice is wide. A folio from the Red Albergue system shows distances and some albergues, and weighs about 1/2 oz. The Brierley guide gives you perhaps useless spiritual guidance, and is several ounces lighter than it once was.

Regardless of one's choice, you are likely to be glad you took something.

We have the Brierley Bible and intend to take it, but the distance calculator is excellent for sitting-at-home-potential-scenario-planning.

I think you are only doing a 'short' walk, we tore ours in half to save weight
We now have 2 BB's for the price of one

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
My guide is a PDF and a map with GPX files, on my iPad—692 grams.
