    The dollar to euro rate just hit a new low in the last year the dollar is worth .89 to 1 euro. So for a 1 euro you already are down .11 before you exchange it. This is a .06 cent drop in the last few months.

    Depending on the day your cost could be 120 to 150 but you will get a taxi. I stressed over it before our trip and we had no problem.

    If you are passing thru in midweek I would say one night is good. If taking a side trip, add a day.

    Really was a nice surprise to be in a local bar in belarado when efren came in. He was generous to take pictures with us, my wife has followed him for over 2 years.

    Alit are booking ahead but we have seen plenty of pilgrims playing it by ear, there are beds. It may be your comfort level in finding rooms each night that decides to reserve or not.

    How busy is the CF, (May 2023)?

    In los arcos today, reserved a bed yesterday, have seen many pilgrims who are not reserving rooms have been able to find lodging. I know of two people who cancelled a reservation in los arcos and went on to Sansol and got beds. Heading to viana tomorrow.

    Clearing Customs in Madrid?

    We landed Tuesday at 6:45am ,went from terminal 4s to terminal 4 as quick as we could, not rushing, we were through immigration/customs in 2 minutes, first time there was no line for us in our last 2 visits.
