It’s sooooo easy to get caught up in all of this. What if you were 100kg?? Bottom line is, people tend to over pack stuff as they forget that there are actually shops and things where you can buy stuff if you really need it and bins or recycling... -

I've camped on the Portugese Camino from Lisbon to Santiago and never had a problem with police or landowners, or with finding a good campsite. Sanitation is not an issue, there's lots of open space.
