    Sellos... More important than certificates

    I had my credential photocopied on both sides and then framed. The advantage of this is that I could still keep the original. I also had my certificates framed and have hung them next to the credential. I did post a photo on here some years ago.

    It's possible that with today's fast-paced life people can't take four or five weeks off to complete the longer Caminos and so opt for a one week event. The certificate's the same. I had to wait thirty years for the opportunity to walk the CF as I just couldn't manage a month away.

    How many pilgrims walked Camino de Santiago in the Middle Ages, Medieval times? Was it really 500 000 per year?

    I wouldn't bet on the average lifespan of people in those days being as high as 50 - 70 ...
