Hi there!
I am doing some research because I want to walk the Ingles route in July.
I just read in brierleys guide that its possible to walk 25km in your own country, then walk from A Coruña to Santiago and then get a compostela.

Has anyone done this? Im scared the pilgrims office won't give me a compostela...

Thanks!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hola!
My wife and I walked the English Camino in 2013. We were advised to start in Ferrol and not A Coruña as the distance from the latter was too short. It's not far from Ferrol to A Coruña. We both received our certificates.

I walked 25km in Ireland, Bray to Dublin coastal walk. I got my passport stamped at Irish Camino Society. I then walked ftom A Coruna to Santiago de Compostela.

Yes, I did this in 2019. I had a local priest write a letter on church letterhead, verifying my starting point. I had local post offices and libraries stamp and date my credencial for 25k, and also printed a map out with my local mileage in both kilometers and miles. Then I continued getting two stamps a day from Coruna. When I first presented all of this at the pilgrim's office, the woman at the desk didn't know what to do but after consulting with someone else in the office I was awarded my Compostela.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Hola
My wife and I walked 25 miles in Durham last year prior to walking the Ingles from A Coruña. We enjoyed it all immensely and the staff at the Pilgrim’s Office were delighted to see our English stamps and hear about our journey. No issues!
Buen Camino
