I live in a suburb of NYC. Last year both Delta and TAP had direct flights to Porto from Newark, NJ, but there were no direct flights from JFK. We flew TAP to Porto. I've previously flown TAP to Lisbon. For whatever reason, TAP flights are...

Not sure if your plans later in the day include dinner but bear in mind that restaurants in Spain open fairly late for dinner, around 8-8:30. Many pilgrims choose to make lunch their main meal of the day. The menu del dia is usually a good deal.

I walked the CP September 2023. Stayed on the coastal route for a few days, up to Fao, and then we switched over the Central. We took a $22 Euro taxi from Fao to Barcelos because a few members of my group were pressed for time. Alternatively...

I had the same concern when I walked the Portuguese. I emailed my hosts shortly before I departed to confirm my reservation and to say that I was looking forward to my visit. I didn't have any issue and everything worked out as planned.

I liked Pontevedra, too. Unfortunately, we arrived on a Sunday and most everything was closed. We were able to visit the Pilgrim's Church and walk around a bit.
