...I am on day eight of walking the Francés at the moment. It is quite busy. A lot of talk about beds (and the need to book ahead). I don't book. Today I tried really hard not to get a bed. I really tried. Got up late. Took my time to pack...

Thanks for this update! I'm starting my walk from SJPDP next week and appreciate this info!

Last September, I actually ended up not booking ahead and just connected with other pilgrims at the Pamplona airport to share a taxi. It worked well and that’s how I met one of my best friends from the Camino! Let it happen! Buen Camino!

I considered booking ahead, but think this might be a better option. Last year in April there were numerous taxis at the train station. I also need to stop in old town for a couple items that are sold at Caminoteca pilgrims shop before heading to...

Newspix1 replied to the thread Walking with headphones?.
I personally don't use any headphones when walking. But I'm not going to judge others. It's their Camino, do as you please. Someone however did make a valid point about cyclist. They don't always give you a heads up, and on the down hills they...

I just call Verizon and pay the $100 for the month. I like to keep it simple. Unlimited data and text, with 180 minutes talk time if I recall.
