Coastal alternatives to the Norte's asphalt

It’s my first Camino and I’m enjoying it!

Coastal alternatives to the Norte's asphalt

Thanks for the heads up! Sometimes a variant alternative route that may be more scenic and beautiful is not necessarily a wise alternative for an average hiker especially if the weather condition is not decent. I’m in Deba now and heading on out tomorrow. Thanks again!

Best app to accurately record distances, elevation and descent per day

Strava app is what you’re looking for including distances, elevation, average speed, etc. I use Garmin Instinct watch that I sync with Strava app in my iPhone. I like it a lot.

Coastal alternatives to the Norte's asphalt

Hi Laurie, I'll be doing the Norte in the middle of next month April. Do you think that after 7 years since you did it that one can find their way to and from the coast OR a GPS is a must? Thank you!

Hi slug, thanks for sharing the santiago.forwalk link. I like what I've seen so far. Can you download the app? I searched in Apple app and there isn't any. Otherwise, I have it in my HomeScreen in my Apple Safari which I can easily delete accidentally.

Camino Del Norte. Day 1 is April 18 from Irún. I’ll be journaling daily using Day One app where I take photos, videos, audio record memories and transcribe text everyday for future sharing of the entire Camino with family and friends. It’s the first time I’m using the Day One app. I’m using...

    A busy April?

What would be the main reason(s) that many people who start at SJPDP don’t plan to go all the way to Santiago in 1 trip?

    Rain...rain pants?

Thank you so much for the website on historical forecasts and weather. It gives me a better perspective on what the weather can be like. I realize the day to day weather can change.
