It was never an official rest stop. Just one of many makeshift rest areas, like the GardZen or the rock piles you pass in the (first week?). People will build a new oasis. They can't destroy the Camino spirit.

It's so good to be on the Camino... look for a quiet space where you can sleep in
the next few days...even if it is something like a private room. If you can walk either before or past Puente la Reina to the next small towns. I know it is busy...
Plan on the liner, but start looking at the weather forecast just a couple of weeks before starting. You’ll have enough clothing with you to get through the night if you need to.

Yes, I booked the first few nights, so no park benches at least until after Pamplona for me :) I'm just curious what I'm heading into, I guess the pre-travel overthinking mode is firmly on :)
