My walking buddy has a back problem and can't support a lot off weight, so he used transfer service to Albergues (private room), Hostals and private accomodations. There was never any problem.
@CWBuff
I just wanted to mention that you have to check the companies in order to know the rules. Correos was a big suitcase before, this year it has changed, even the weight.
If you want to make something else of it...
What was last year (and before) is perhaps not this year.
Have a look at Correos: only backpack and cabin suitcase 15kg max. Max 60km between 2 points.
I didn't checked other companies.
Buen Camino 🤞🍀
It is simple, look whatever provider you use on the list departure Village and hotel/etc pickup (drop down menu) --->arrival village/city and hotel/etc..., and so on...
Watch out what size you are allowed to use for transport!
Just for the info: The Bondi 9 will arrive on the market this year, some rumours talked about end this month...
No confirmation by Hoka so far🤔
And shoes are personal...trying them on yourself is the way to go.
@C clearly I used it to create Camino preparation routes at home on my laptop and used it afterward on my Garmin GPSMap64.
Worked fine.
Normally all the Camino's are already on the maps. There are regularly updates.
I think that like all the phone GPS mapping Apps it will drain the battery...
@SabsP Was perhaps a bit short in words🤔
The OP is planning his visits and taking the bus to Redondela which is only 84,7km from Santiago. He wrote that he wants to go for the 'certificate', but he's not paying attention to the route to walk, he is more planning his visit.
You can visit and...
You need to walk minimum the last 100km to qualify for 'the certificate' -> accreditation of the pilgrimage is called "The Compostela".
Calculate your route so that you have the necessary stamps for those last 100km!
The Camino is not a vacation...
Buen Camino
I concur what was said before.
I have a Thermarest quilt and is rated 20 -6°C, but it is written in the specs comfort 0°C.
Read the small letters ;)
A quilt is lighter when you are sure to have a mattress.
There are some restrictions too:
Only Backpack or cabin suitcase max. 15kg & Maximum distance/day: 60km.
No more big suitcases that you could see from time to time :)
I have received two of those messages on my cellphone, problem credit card info and my booking would be cancelled within 4 hours if not confirmed.
Click on one of them and was in a chat!
I explained that I would contact booking.com, that it was not the way to go, that I don't confirm.
Not heard...
