    The ID is valid for all of EU, yes. Due to the passport crisis in Sweden they have been making a lot of news statements saying how the ID is the way to go unless you're leaving the Schengen area.

    Yes, but fully booked. Everything on Gronze appears to be fully booked! Was hoping for some non-gronze solutions, like a señora that hosts peregrinos. There's some old phone numbers and names in the Facebook groups, but from 2018-2019 so I don't know if these people are still hosting peregrinos...

    Advice needed with Camino del Norte route

    Instead of Guernica and Lezama I'm stopping in Markina-Olabe/Mendata-Morga/Eskerika-Bilbao. This is mainly due to wanting to prebook and having read people have run out of beds in Guernica. Stopping just before and after allows me to walk by Lezama without staying there.

    I would definitely book San Sebastián ahead of time! They don't have much in terms of albergues, but some regular hostels as well as hotels and Airbnb.
