    Pretty much everything was still open last week ....I think a lot close at the end of October...bit also there are less Pilgrims...never had any issue finding a place to sleep or take a break...although there are some long stretches without services....

    as a follow up, I did use the Crazy Cap bottle with UV light on the Plata....The UV light kills 99.9% of all bacteria....doesn't clean water with dirt...but makes it potable...

    totally agree...I leave tomorrow to do the same route for the 3rd time, including the variant, I liked it so much when I did the coastal route I now use it to bring friends who want to try their first camino...less people, lots of woods, although I must admit I take 7 days as I love Combarro too...
