    Terminal switch in Madrid

Hi. One hour and fifty mins should be enough to switch flights. I had fifty minutes last year when I flew to do the Camino. Granted I was legging it at one point, shouting coming through. Which was impressive as I had my backpack on and wearing walking boots. If you do need to get the terminal...

Camino Ingles, The English Way, The Celtic Way from Reading

When I did the Ingles last September I met a Mexican priest who had started from Reading. He told me it was well worth doing, so definitely on my radar now.

Hi I did the Inglis back in September wearing my Salomon boots. But I saw plenty of shoes and trainers. I'd wear whatever works for you. Sean

    Advice on Camino Ingles

Hi Stephen I'm from the UK as well and did the Inglis last year as my first Camino. I went in the middle of September and the weather was glorious everyday. A bit warm, but not too bad. There is a company called Explore here in the UK who do Camino walks, and they organise everything. The...

    Camino Ingles for a newbie

Hi Mark I did the Inglis back in September and flew from Manchester (i live in Leeds) to Coruna with Iberia via Madrid. There is a bus from the airport to Coruna from the bus station there you can get a bus into Ferrol. I'm 60 years old and did the walk in 4.5 days. I found it fairly quiet...

    stop halfway Betanzos to Bruma

After Betanzos, if you book to stay at Rectoral De Cines you can ring them from Presedo and they will send a taxi to pick you up and drop you back in Presedo the following morning. The taxi fair is included in the price of the stay. Sean

    Camino Ingles next week!

Can't say how many fellow pilgrims you will meet, but I can recommend a place to stay. If you plan to end your stage at Precedo, book the night at Rectoral de Cines. They will send a taxi to pick you up and drop you back in the morning. Not the cheapest night but well worth it. Buen Camino.

    Eternal dilemma: which Camino

Hi I've just finished the Inglis, like last week 😃. Yes it does run close to motorways in a spot or two, but the rest more than makes up for it. I thoroughly enjoyed my walk and I think I've convinced a couple of my nephews to walk it. I would happily walk it again without a second thought. Sean

Best day to reach Santiago (hypothetically)?

I arrived in Santiago on late Tuesday morning. And yes it was busy, but it wasn't horrendous. When I walked back into the square later on, it was practically empty.

Help me review this packing list for my students

Hi I'm probably mentioning something already said and you're also aware of. But in regards to liquids being in clear plastic bags, if any of the students use an inhaler, that is also classed as a liquid and must be in the clear bag. I learnt this the hard way myself a few years ago. Buen...

San Sebastián Airport to Bayonne - Ride-share 27 May 2023 or Advice please!

Hi I'm doing the Camino Ingles in September and I came across a similar problem. I did a little research and there is an app called BlaBlaCar which is a car sharing plan, it might be worth checking it out.
