I ve done both … all in my 60 s. If you are used to mountains, either is good… norte has more up and down continuously. French Way, the big elevation change is day 1. Depends on how fit you are…. You can do anything you decide you can do…. If you stay healthy in body/ heart.
I walked the Frances last summer and am doing the del norte to the Primitivo now. I d save do the French Way. I did 1/2 of the del norte from Llanes to Santiago ( then walked to Finisterre and Muxia) in 2019 and feel like the beginning of the French way is better… so the del norte when you can...
Besides shoes, get toe sock liners. They are fabulous. With foot glide or Vaseline you should be fine…. I m 65 and have had great luck w them… on my 3 rd Camino now…
I started the Camino in Irun 4 days ago. The app shows the route but not my location on the route. I deleted the download and then reinstalled it but it still does not work. My data roaming is on. Help!
