    I have been advised to carry a thermolite fleece liner as I’m walking Norte in high summer and better as an anti bed bug product. Is this true?

    As someone who suffers from chaffing and done many treks including in humid tropical areas, protection under walking pants is essential. Couple of options - quarter length silk stockings or thigh length tight hugging underwear. Both are much lighter options in your pack.

    Good question. I have the same concern. Walking the Norte from mid July to mid August. I assume being a coastal route it maybe cooler? Walking early, well covered on the head and watered is my plan. What is the humidity like on the Norte as this can be energy sapping?

    Good advice. We are walking the Norte starting in Irún in mid July finishing in mid August. I have only booked accommodation in the main centres. I wanted some degree of spontaneity and flexibility in day kilometres. Based on your advice I may revise that plan.
